KidsGrow.co is a parent-to-parent marketplace that encourages parents to teach entrepreneurship to their children. Parents can teach their children the value of saving money and at the same time, they can save the environment for their children. KidsGrow also strives to be a resource to parents to teach financial literacy and the benefits of saving and investing for your children’s future.

Founder Tanya Harper Thornhill is a mother of one daughter. After the first two years of her daughters’ life, Tanya looked around and saw how many clothes and other things she had accumulated for her daughter and how much money had been spent. Some things were never worn. Her grandmother’s words echoed in her head, “if I had my life to live over, I would’ve spent my money differently”. Tanya thought to herself, “I must learn from what my grandmother told me before I repeat the same mistakes and teach those lessons to my daughter”. She thought of all the money she could have invested for her daughter. She also thought of how she could teach her daughter not to repeat the same cycles of waste. One day while talking to her husband, who is a chemical engineer, she learned about the environmental impacts of all the production of clothes on the earth. She thought, “there must be parents like me that think there is a better way and want to save the earth for their children while teaching them important life skills and financial literacy”. That idea is what resulted in the birth of KidsGrow.co.

KidsGrow.co is a marketplace and a resource for parents to sell and buy gently used kids’ clothes and other items a growing kid needs. We encourage parents to set up shops for small children and to work with older children to bring out the entrepreneurial spirit in them. At a young age, embarking on entrepreneurship will help build self-confidence and courage. KidsGrow.co is more than just a marketplace it’s a movement.
